Anyone else using Heatrs pellets notice color change?

Not a quality issue but just something I noticed when adding pellets to the hopper. About 1/3 of the pellets had become lighter. I thought that maybe the wife mixed Olympus douglas fir with Heatrs but she didn't. The pellets on the left are from the same bag as the ones on the right but the ones on the right were in the warm hopper for a day. First thing I thought was moisture drying out but there is no problem in the heat output, if anything they have been burning hotter. Maybe something with the binding chemicals? Whatch think?

Mine are pretty light, there has been some variance in the color. I just wish they weren't so sticky, they certainly don't feed all the at well. Heat is good though, and ash is reasonable.

Haven't found any of the Heatrs I used so far at all sticky. The penningtons I tried were sticky, they would stick to the stirrer in clumps, I hated them.
