Use your harman for a while and report back

After all I read on this site, when we went to go buy our pellet stove last year it was Harman or nothing else. Burns everything well, I clean it every 2 weeks but I could easily go 3-4. I think you'll really like it.

Ya my P61 is chewing on GS right now as I type. No problem, a bit ashy so I clear the pot now and then. There are some hotter pellets out there for sure but it's heating the house . It was 16F out this morning, 73 inside. Hotter pellets the stove would chew a few less of to do that is all..

You will love the Harman ! You might still want to find good pellets but the fight is over to find just perfect pellets that makes your stove work or it croaks out on you..

I had one bag of green supreme and wanted to test it with them. 2 tons of Hamer's Hot Ones are in the garage ready to go.

The burn in should be gone in a short time. I went ahead and ramped mine up hot to get it all in one shot mainly. Jason, You will seriously enjoy your new stove. Problem will be that you get spoiled. Open the door and do a quick pot scrape once a day. Ten to fifteen seconds tops. It will run a month straight no problem at all. It would likely go much longer actually if you get another ash pan and then swap them quickly. They do need cleaned and maintained regularly for best performance and longevity. That's a breeze with these.

Kick back in front of it with a beer and ring in the New Year!

Amen! I've gone 5 weeks between routine cleanings! It burns every pellet out there. You'll love it.

Disappear out the joints of my vent pipe. I've got some sealing to do!!
You must have standard Duravent. I had to seal mine too.

I just went out and bought a few more bags of Green Supremes. They don't burn bad. Really it's all I found out there for $5.18 a bag that wasn't so bad they didn't list the BTU on the label ( Nations Choice). And I found North Americans at about the same price but only 7800 BTU. On the weekend or next week sometime I'll start in on my Okie DF's I guess ( 9200 BTU)..

Yeah, I found a bunch of places to seal when I hooked up the SC. The Harman was professionally installed, so they sealed all the places (even the 45's) that could possibly leak.

That is a great suggestion, I just might have to do that :)

Not sure how crazy priced another 'Harman' ash pan would be but a sheet metal fab shop could make another easily fairly inexpensive I's say. It would be very handy when your burning ashy pellets and it would get you to the end of the month. I'm sure there are some out there that might have extra ash pans.

Did a quick google search and couldn't find anyone selling an ash pan as a part. Doesn't mean they aren't out there, just I didn't find any. Did price out ESP's and gaskets that I should get for spares though so my time wasn't wasted.

After buying my harman boredom set In pretty fast.nothing to do just wait for the stove to be cleaned when it finally gets dirty enough.welcome to the harman gang hope you enjoy your new stove

I'm seeing how true this is. I can't believe this stove has been running for 2 days now and I haven't needed my ash vac or painter's tool or paintbrush or glass cleaner or a 5/8" nut driver or emptied the hopper to clear a jam....

I do need to work on my aim though with refilling, dumped about 10 pounds on the floor last night!

Now to start planning the basement install of the Englander!

Worth the extra money, wasn't it?:)
