Just cleaned the stove and I am about to try my first bag of Okanagan fir. Is the hype real?

Happy New Year!

Burn a bag and let us know!

For what they cost they should come with a French maid to clean your stove for you.

Welcome nice pic in avatar. PI it looks like?

Okie are great u will love them, where u buy

Cheers!

These pellets are hot and very little ash. Very pleased with this brand. New to burning the only down side is they are way to expensive for a ton. Maybe is I wait until April I can grab a couple tons at a discount, or maybe that's wishful thinking

Put it to you this way, Okanagan calls you a month after you start burning to remind you that you should check your ash pan. Hot, clean, and low ash.....

Highly doubt that but I get the point...
I was able to score 35 bags of Oregon Douglas Fir[Blazers] from of all places HD outside Phila for the same price they sell all the other Shoulder brands.
they deff lived up to the hype.. Hot as hell and barely any ash..
Only reason I got small supply was that I have 5 tons in my basement and maxed out for room or I would have bought 5 tons right there at 250.00 ton.

I'm in mass haven't come across any blazers yet but I will surely be on the lookout. Garbage for the most part around here for 250.

If you are in the North Shore MA area, you have AWF's all around you, certainly not garbage. The TSC generics have good reports also, red bags being Lignetics or Energex.

I definitely like the heat awf put out but I find the bags to be very inconsistent when it comes to fines. One bag virtually no fines and the next being 20 percent.
