If you are a veteran you can get an additional 10% too. That would be 25% off. Need to show a copy of your DD-214, military ID, or ID from the VA and tell the cashier at check out. The 10% is good at all times for anything and in addition to other sales.
I am told this is on only particular days. I needed a whole mess of stuff, and we went on a day where Lowes.com said this discount would apply, but the local store said that only Vets Day, Xmas, etc. My wife is the vet, so she came along... but I got pissed when they wouldnt give her the discount as promised. Long story short, the sniveling manager gave us the discount, and I made sure that they better get on the same page as corporate or they will continue to have issues.
My local Lowe's stores have always given me 10% anytime. Not sure what their corporate policy is or why it would vary at all from store to store. I'll take what I can get as long as I can get it. HD has changed theirs to only include fully retired or active duty vets so I now go to Lowe's. Haven't bought much from HD in years now. Not many retired and active duty vets get to utilize said discount which is a way that HD acts like they care. BS!
