I have a US King Pellet Stove. I would like to know what type of filter I should be using if I use a regular shop vac and wait until the stove is cold. I bought a ash vac from tractor supply and it was a waste of money. thank you for any suggestions

We bought a PowerSmith ash vac last year and it works great.
It was 75 bucks on Amazon.

Just got my Powersmith. I love it, its affordable and it works great.

+ 3 on the Powersmith.

Lowe's now carries a metal can ash vacuum made by Shop Vac. It is $99. It might be worth looking into. I'm sure there has to be a user out there somewhere of this vacuum on this board, but I haven't seen to many reviews of this product, so I don't know if that means its good or not. The next time I have to purchase one, I will look into this one or maybe a Powersmith.

I just use a drywall filter on my shop vac. Works perfect. I do take the vac outside after cleaning the stove, just incase.

+4 on the power smith. Best ash vac ever! Ours is going on its 2nd season. The 1st shop vac only lasted 3 months
