I have a quadra-fire castille insert B manufactured in February 2011. Stove was running this AM before I went to work. Wife called on way saying it died. She says it smelled like burning plastic before it went.

Now we have no power coming on at all. Have jumped the thermostat wires, jumped snap disc #3 with no luck. No lights at all when it is plugged in. I did check power from outlet as well and the fuse. Both are normal

Before I order a new control box any suggestions? It is currentliy 40+degrees in upstate NY but is going down drastically. Any help is appreciated.

Check box fuse?

yes checked box fuse on the stove and circuit breaker. Neither has blown. Actually plugged it into a different outlet to be sure. Still no luck. Actually called for service hopefully he will call back. She also said that the circuit box was warm and smelled like burning plastic.

I would also wonder what caused it to blow, that bypassed the fuse. Maybe it was just the box too. kap

Great to hear. Do you have your stove plugged into a surge protector? If not, it may be something to consider.
