Burning these dry woods today, I can really see why they are so superior to the others, they create such a Large Hot Base Of Coals...... That creates an amazing mass of heat..... image.jpgimage.jpg

I was confused by the 2nd post being January 9th 2014. But now I get it. A resurrected previous post.
Yeah...2 headers in the battle of keeping the wolf away from the door. Helps keep the stove and pipes clean too. _g Im assuming they are sharing the load together?

Please tell me those pics are from a brand new firebox. Those bricks look brand new. My firebox don't look nothing like that.

Have plenty of white/red oak, but so far no BL. Hoping to get some soon and look forward to burning a combined load when they are seasoned.

That is so weird because I did not look at the most recent posts at all. When I resurrected the post I noticed after. Coincidence?
It was almost exact same time that you resurrected and I created.....freakkky....

That box is 2 years old, it been black before, but when you burn good dry hardwood, it becomes like new....

Those are white and blue flames.... Hot!

I've gotten blue flames with locust before-hands down the best overnight wood I've ever burned.

Nice pics. Love the locust. Big 3 year seasoned pieces give nice heat and big coals. Blue flames too.
