They don't burn super hot, but they are really clean. I'm going to go back and grab a few more bags tomorrow, I'll see what I can find out.

I bought 12 bags at TSC to try and I'm not impressed. My burn pot stays pretty clean but ash builds up fast on the sides and in the ash pan.The pellets break up fast in the burn pot and go flying around the stove.I've burned softwood before and never saw anything like this.Lot of small pellets and a lot of dust in the bag.

I'm guessing they may have picked up some moisture at some point. Of the ten brands of pellets I have tried this year, AWF's have had the least ash and better than average heat. There were days where burn pot scraping was not needed.

I can second that.. Better heat of any other brand I've burned this year and least amount of ash. Just wish I could find some now!

There website offers a look up of what retailers in the area sell their pellets. The HD in Shrewsbury was the only place within a 50 mike radius which I found hard to believe seeing as every pet store, walmart, kmart and all else sells their pet product pellets. I emailed about this and why it is not as detailed for their pellet fuel citing this website and starting many people in the area seem to like the pellets and are looking for them.. Of course there has been no reply

Man I hope they have some on Saturday
was there today... friday... was told in addition to floor stock 2 more pallets out back ... go early saturday and score ...

They have 2 ton of awf left and like 6 ton of somersets, all kinds of pure Fire and natures own or whatever it is. 2 ton limit though. Bought a ton of awf and a ton of somersets. Pretty happy!

hmmm I will have to try some of the somersets.. have heard good things about them

Burned them a year or so ago and they burned amazing. They're hardwood but low ash and high btu. The manufacturer makes hard wood floors so it all saw dust from there wood shop. 239 a ton for awf and 249 a ton for somersets

Nice work! Glad it went your way. Let us know how they both burn.

Well just put a bag of somersets in the stove. Here's some pics. The fines on the plate was out of a whole bag. Hardly any.

These are selling at a premium in Md at like $6.50 + a bag. Super clean burn though and I love the christmas tree smell. Still hard to justify the price but maybe if bought in the off season...I'm burning in an englander and could prob go for days without having to worry about any cleaning

I'm on my third bag of these AWF and they are burning fine. Lots and lots of fines. I mean LOTS of fines to the point that I don't want to finish the other bags and move to my next test bags which are Cheat River Hardwoods, but well, I don't know, maybe I'll finish them off.

Burned the AWF's for an entire week - ofcourse I was gone most of it and the family doesn't pay anywhere near the attention to the stove that I do. They do have lots of fines, more then the GS I was burning but they smell great. Plenty of ash for me but consumption was up this week with the really cold temps - family knows how to bump up the heat level but ignore the feed/combustion settings. A little build up in the pot but much less then with GS. Heat was really good as well. more sparks flying then before. Might start sifting out the fines as this might be what most of the sparks are from. At $270 a ton much better then GS at the same price! I'll keep burning them.
