Hey guys,
Happy New Year. I am having some more issues with my brand new englander 30 blower. I previously had one for 3 years before it started screeching like 2 cats fighting. I called ESW and spoke to them. Basically they said I was SOL and had to buy a new one. So I did 3 months ago. Well, it's already started chirping and I am at wits end. I can't find any oil ports on the thing and from my brief conversation with Englander last time, there doesn't appear to be a way to oil the bearings. I would call back to englander, but after the input I got from them last time, I doubt they will be much help. Does anyone know of any remedies or home mods to make this thing better than the $130 piece of junk that Englander sells. I love the nc 30 stove, but this blower situation is terrible. Thanks.

Which blower do you have?

The regular "stock" one that came with the stove or the larger optional blower?

No, it's the more expensive add on blower, the ac 30. Actually, both of them were ac 30. They push a nice volume of air, but seems like shoddy construction.

Can of wd40 and squirt till it quiets. Nothing to lose eh?

Has anyone else had this problem that has been reported here? If no one else is reporting a problem, maybe you got two bad ones.

If it's a widely reported problem, is there an alternative to the AC-30 blower that fits in the same location and has the same general dimensions?

I have the AC-30 blower and have it set so you can barely hear it. Knock on wood it stays that way.

I have heard a few other forum members have early issues with the blower. For sheer volume blowing over the sweet spot, I haven't found or heard of anything. The thing is, the first one went belly up after 3 years. I use the blower on high almost nightly in the winter so 3 years is acceptable. However, to have a brand new unit crap out so early just doesn't pass muster.

What's their warranty on parts?

I believe there is someone from Englander who posts on these forums.

If it's dead, can you take it apart and see if you can find a replacement motor(s) for it?

I've also thought about getting the big blower, but haven't due to the reviews here...
