So, what fuel table are you set on?

I bought from a dealer that the owner had passed away and the shop closed. The shop was 6 months behind on rent so the landlord was selling off the inventory to make herself whole. It was new still in the crate.

The dealer is suppose to send in warranty work. If you have it, send it in and see what happens. Maybe find another dealer that will order warranty parts for you.

I can try the local dealer. I did call quadrafire first. They said with the #'s I gave them I should be good. The person I spoke to wasnt sure how they would handle an 08 in the crate for warranty. I got a good enough deal to buy some parts if necessary just don't know where to start.

Ya, something is up. This is what I can give you for now. Check wire harness for auger and optical sensor. Make sure connections are good and not reversed. You can also pull auger assy and see if set screw is tight enough to hold auger to shaft and it is not slipping. You will have to empty hopper for this. You can also jump the vac switch wires together, making sure they can't ground out on anything, and run auger out of stove to see how it does. Remember it will take a minute and a half before auger will start when calling for heat. If someone installed the new board and wasn't careful, they could of messed up a connection. Optical sensor could be bad too. I would pursue the warranty and see if a dealer can come and look at it for you. kap

. As much as you have ran it, it should be primed by now. It has tried starting twice since we have typed. But won't hurt nothing. I would still try the warranty part and call another dealer to check it out. The more you do, the more it might void warranty for now.

Well you are not gonna believe this LOL. So I started emptying the hopper and wedged down in there in the bottom was a desiccant bag. I looked in there to make sure there was no direction books or anything. I guess due to being an insert it was too far back and deep to see. I couldn't see it when I found it just could feel it. Glad it didn't break and get caught up in the auger.

Going for the startup now. Fingers crossed.

LOLOL Glad you found it. Hope this is the only issues you have. Stay warm. kap

Ran like a champ all night. Stayed up till 0130 eastern getting it some what tuned in. Kept the house 2600 sqft 70-71 on medium low fan with -3 flame height. A steal for $2300!!!!

Wow, usually those bags are in the burn area of the stove. Sounds like to me whoever did the control board replacement took everything out and threw it in the hopper. Good to hear it was that simple though.
