Did some diving in St Croix over Christmas. seen turtles, barracuda and stingrays, air temp 82 water temp 81

fast forward to Sat Jan. 10 2015 ten days later. dove the quarry in Circleville Ohio air temp 2 water temp 38.
will be diving the quarry again on Feb.1 might be a little warmer.

quarries are where we dive because there are no oceans in Ohio. Yes, for "fun". Google Gilboa quarry and you can see what is there. There is a Grumman/Gulfstream G2 sunk there as an artificial reef along with a Sikorsky helo.
 
Think I'd prefer St. Croix but I bet there were no barracuda in the quarry.




there are trout and I have been bitten more times in the quarry than the ocean. Actually I have never been bit in the ocean. the wife will not dive in the quarry anymore because she gets bitten regularly.
