Hey guys,
Figured i'd throw a few pictures of my hearth and Mansfield install. The hearth was built to the shape of the hearthgate we bought to keep the kids from the stove:

3/4" ply:

Cut to shape, and a layer of Durock:

Installed and running!

Here's where it used to be:

Which is now home to a VC Defiant:

Nicely done. That duo should keep you warm.

Wow, good work, def like the color of the tiles, and your helpers seem to be quite the cleaners..lol

Very nice! Something tells me that radiator won't be doing much.

Thanks guys! Haha, yeah the oil burner is off for the majority of the season... we go through maybe 1/4 tank each year.

Cute kid.

Like the radiator "cover."

Really like the hearth . . . seriously . . . very nice tile work.

Room itself looks quite cozy.

Am curious . . . why only one child resistant outlet cover?

Thanks Jake! The build pictures are almost 4 years old and the installed pic is from yesterday. Kids are old enough now that we don't need the childproofing, that's just a stray outlet cover we forgot to remove ;)

Beautiful wood stove install.

Looks like the handle on that Defiant may not be closing all the way. Your helper was adorable and that tile work came out great! Two nice stoves, but that Mansfield has been one of my favorite non cats for a few years now.
