Those tabs bend over the inside of the cast iron flue collar to hold it in place. But I'm guessing you must have figured that out by now

I did get it reinstalled and it has been in use since Thanksgiving. That picture is not the same as the stove I had. My stove is approx 10 years old.

Yep, so is this one, just missing the cabinet. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for your unit? I'm not sure how much this unit that is 10 years old and missing the cabinet would even be worth. I'm thinking not much, any thoughts?

How is it heating for you and have you had to replace the cat? I've read parts are expensive for this insert???

I bought it used. I think I paid $475 for it. i did replace the Cat and refractory. I also added a condor digital cat probe. Mine came with 2 sets of surrounds.

So do you have a surround you might be willing to sell? How much are the cats to replace and from where?

How are liking the insert now that you have had it running for a while?

no, i actually threw it out because it was way to big to fit my stove. I would try and fab one up using sheet metal or something. That dosnt look like an insert to me it looks more like a free-stander that was shoved inside the fireplace.

That stove is a Winterwarm small insert. I have a Winterwarm large. I would not bother buying that stove, its old, does not heat to well and is more tedious than mine....
