If she's going to wear a sweatshirt and use a blanket at those temps, you might as well turn down the stove so you're comfortable.

My women complained for years it was to cold and we needed a stove. I buy the stove and now shes to hot and turns it off constantly. This stove is causing so many fights between us lol. Youll never win this battle dont feel bad

Got my new Harman P43 last week. It is currently 78 degrees in house. I'm sweating. Wife still has on a sweatshirt and a blanket. I give up on keeping her warm.
Lol

Anything over 69 and we both sweat.

I understand your issue. Several years ago I came home from work and found the house roasting, the now ex-wife had the wood stove cranked and when I commented on how hot the house was... she said it was comfortable. She was wearing jeans and long sleeve shirt, I was down to my BVD's and I was still hot. I checked the thermometer... it read 83dF!!! I promptly shut the stove down and she complained!! It was never warm enough for her. Present fiance, who is from Texas, is hot anytime the temp gets over 65dF... there is just no logic to it and giving up may be your best bet, I know I have.

I've found that although, in my house, that the temps are high in some areas, the main body of the house, the bathroom and bedroom and kitchen areas are cold. Last year we ended up wearing layers even though the main body was very comfortable. I ended up installing a NG. heater because of the unevenness of the heating even using 2 stoves and burning 6 tons last year.

These stoves are space heaters and if your whole house is 78 degrees you are one of the lucky ones.

If she is still cold at that temp it's probably time to look at moving to a warmer areas of the country

Good luck on this one.

Since we got the wood stove, "It's cold in here" turned into "I'm cold" after the temperature being pointed out to her numerous times. Maybe overboard, but there are 5 thermometers in the shack. If it's 70 and you're cold, especially after 10 years of oil furnace, wear a sweater.

Battery powered vests, jackets and pants-chaps are available. I have a vest and chaps for cycle riding and has saved many rides.

Same here with my wife when I get too hot,I just step out side or tinker in the garage to cool off.

Well my butt. Im afraid of my wife. I cant wait to be able to turn this stove up and take off the long johns and tuque.
Women! Ya can't live with 'em, ya can't live without 'em and ya can't hunt 'em.

The one problem the Harman can't solve is making both spouses feel comfortable all the time. It's the Goldilock's syndrome, and you'll have to live with it. When she complains; focus on the fire and say, "Isn't the fire lovely dear?"

Add: "Glass of wine beautiful?"

When my wife says she's hot I just say " Of course you are! One of the reasons I married you!"

Why is it that's harman owners are so happy?and not argumentative grumpy cusses.we are complaining about too much heat here, lol. Nice choice on the P43 I likey.

Those thermometers must all be defective get some that are working correctly :p.
I went cheap on my thermometer, when the sweat pours I go out side or shut down the stove.

This is why we have a comfy chair next to the stove. It takes about 5 minutes in that chair and the clothes start to come off.
