Hey, any opinions re: Hardwood Heat? My local TSC selling $5.19 a bag. I was thinking about having 3 tons of these delivered to my house. What do you think?

I already have Lignetic 25 bags purchased at a decent price from another store. But, now that store is selling the Ligs for $6.36. I think that's a big jump from last week ($5.39). So, no way!

Also, I spoke to the dealership that will be installing my Accentra 52i... its coming to my house on JANUARY 5 !!!!!!!!!! One more thing, the dealership told me I'm responsible for obtaining the permit from my township and they'll send me the info. to submit for the permit. I also was told I might not be able to turn the stove on until its inspected.

If its the bag that says Fiber Energy, I picked up 3 bags on Sunday. They are a little on the ashy side, but they throw off some decent heat. Will probably go back and get a few more. Before you buy a ton, buy a few bags to try out as well as others. The TSC here in NY also has O'Malleys which some people like. I too had to get my own Permit, but I was able to use my insert before he came out to inspect. Don't forget to let your insurance company know. My insurance did not go up, the agent said if it was a wood burning stove it would have.
Good Luck

My installer went to the town hall for me and pulled the permit, I just had to pre sign paperwork. And also, you should be allowed to "gently" use it prior to inspection because the installer should test run it before leaving to make sure there is no f-up in the instillation process. My insurance also did not increase.

Your TSC delivers?
no I wish they did. I picked up some O'Malley's yesterday. One thing about TSC they always have a variety of pellets available. As well as their own brand. I picked up some fiber energy oak hardwood last week. They were completely out of them yesterday. They were a little ashy, but gave off good heat.

No TSC delivery, but I was told that one of the workers at the store uses his truck and delivers pellets to customers homes for a fee.

The O'Malley's burn very hot... medium gray/black ash but I have noticed they leave some very Hard carbon deposits in the burnpot.
Not a lot, but the few spots are pretty hard stuff.

Picked up some Hardwood Heat Premium's at TSC for the very first time ever. I like them. Clean burn, low ash and good heat. My bags say they are from TN
