Found a Fisher fireplace, can anyone tell me some details

I was at a friends house recently and he had a early model Fisher double door stove. It had an 8" flue and it was making heat. It impressed me enough that I started looking for All Nighters and Fishers. Posted a few ads locally and waited.

Guy called and said there's one in his basement that he wants gone. I can round up a Posse of brawny lads, no problem but, what model of Fisher is this? I have only seen the pictures so far and the gent said it was 29" across on the top.

Been looking for a pre epa since seeing the power of a older Fisher fireplace at a friends house recently. I ran some local ads and was contacted by a fellow with a great big Fisher in his basement. Fellow said the stove is about 29" across top. It has ball feet and looks like I might have nickel doors. Can anyone tell by these pictures what model this is and maybe something regionally specific about the build?

I guess it's the ball legs I am most curious about. Was the type on this stove just a regional thing? From what I was told the stove was bought new some place in Northern Michigan and that's all go on until I can start looking at markings. From the size it should be a Grandpa 29" across the top.
 
The arched opening (not just doors) makes it an XL. ALL other stoves of the Fireplace Series have a rectangular opening. (horizontal across top) The arched doors on other stoves have a arched overlap at top and do not use the arch top to seal.

XL was available with the "Sun" door or Fir Trees.

The leg style was called "Fireplace Style".

Top plate should measure 34 1/2 across if it's an XL. It's hard to count bricks across the back in your picture, Grandpa only uses 6.

What is the size of the flue outlet?

Flue opening may be bigger than 8". I'm going to do a site walk tomorrow to see what it's going to take to get it out of the bunker, not laid my eyes on it only seen pictures. While talking to the owner I have been confused about the dimensions because he did say it 29" at some point and 34" somewhere else. This might be a biggun.
 
It IS the largest one made since the opening is arched at top. Make sure you get the screen IF he has it !! Big bucks - or make your own.

When you see it in person, check for a small tag welded to inside of left rear leg. Usually stainless steel starting with UT for Utah.
 
I flipped your picture, and you can count more than the 6 bricks across back if it were a Grandpa.

XL 1-2015.jpg If the baffle removes, it looks to be in backwards. The notches at rear corners should be facing forward. Not sure in the poor pic.
 
Your picture looks a lot like the one I just installed. If you want it for heat, it's plenty warm. I paid $350 and had to move it, plus paid a company to install. Probably too much but I know it was done right.

It's 90 inside and 20 outside with less logs than I use in my basement fireplace insert.

If it's an XL, you did good for $350. !!

ONLY the XL model will have the arched opening across the top. Others have arched top doors, but not the opening.
Grandma III will be 25 1/2" across top plate and Grandpa III will be 30. Both have 8 inch outlet. The XL is larger with 10 inch outlet.
