What does a bad room blower sound like?

I just had a really good cleaning a month ago. It is making a whining/squealing/grinding noise? It's intermittent. Seems to happen more after a long day of running the stove (I don't run it 24/7) How do I know if it's the room blower or something else?? I had the combustion fan replaced about 1.5 years ago so don't think it's that. I don't think it's the auger because it's not happening when the auger is feeding pellets. It happens when it's not as well. Any infor or help. I can try to record it tomorrow and post it. (I shut the stove down for the night)

Yes, just had it done in December. I have it done every year

Mine was doing that. So I opened the side doors and It stopped. Im thinking its a heat issue. Im limping my stove along today which requires me to monitor air temp in the room air chamber and when I open that door the temps drop literally 10 degrees in an instant

Time for a new blower me thinks.

If you're handy with tools, yank the motor apart carefully and stuff in a set of new bearings

Most auto parts stores can get bearings, you just need the numbers off of them.

Many auto electric shops can rebuild these small motors as well.

In the end,if not rebuildable by a electric motor shop, a whole lot of cash coming out of ones wallet

Could consider parting with the cash on a new blower and then get the old one rebuilt for a spare.

+1 on that. I like one in the stove and one on the shelf. Called spare parts.

Many dealers work on the Just in Time principle that way they don't have to keep a large inventory of spare parts = money and space. The only problem with that philosophy is that part availability is never in time for the consumers needs = we get to wait
