So, about a year ago my firebrick back got warped. I was running some 50-50 corn wood mix and it made a lot of ash (I won't do that again). That ash got behind the firebrick and with the heat it bowed out about 2". Once it started to bend it made space and kept on bending.

I can see that the firebrick backs are available for sale for just over $100 but I own an Avalon Astoria and they have directed me to the dealers in my area. I have had difficulty getting those dealers to respond to email and they are generally unhelpful. I didn't buy the stove from them and in the DC metro area they generally sell gas products. So that is my tale of woe about not having a dealer. I love the stove and for 5 years now have only had self inflicted issues with it.

Does anyone know if there is a way to bend the firebrick back? Can I put a torch on it and heat it up add some weight and flatten it again? Or should I just find a dealer that will sell me one and get it from them?

I also need a new baffle and the clips are MIA after taking out the firebrick back so I do have a few things I could use from a dealer. I just lack a nearby dealer so I feel a little stuck.

yes but they won't ship it to me as I am out of their service area.

Hey, thanks. I didn't see that place.
