Johnson A419 question.

Anybody use the BIN function? Anybody know what it means when the 'BIN' in the display is flashing? Don't see that in the manual. I swapped out a manual wall switch for a thermal switch for that function earlier today, and it was working hunkey dorey. But I just noticed the flashing. Pretty sure it wasn't before.

That's sort of what I was using it for. I had it wired thru a wall switch, and sometimes when starting a burn I would hit the switch which raised the setpoints to heat my 80 gallon DHW tank another 25°. So I could 'overcharge' my DHW when making the most heat (burning), which leaves my storage just for house heating. Sort of a way of increasing my storage capacity. Never noticed the flashing 'bin' before until after I did a cycle after replacing the wall switch with a thermal switch, mounted on my boiler return pipe. So it would to it automatically. Law of coincidences points to the thermal switch - wondering if it presented some resistance or something after it cycled? I checked it with a meter before hooking it up & there wasn't any, but I haven't checked it since - I just unhooked the BIN circuit for now until I find time to revisit it. Kind of weird.
