Grabbing straws here but if you think this is the issue my suggestion is to add a couple of feet to the flex line so it warms a little prior to entering the stove.

Now Eric, does Harman have anything to say about operating a XXV on a set back t-stat?
Yes folks, I hear you, but please don't panic. I'm asking because there are differences between the models and what is fine and dandy for one (the P series) may not be for another.

Yes there is a way to incorporate a thermostat with the Harman units. In my point of view I would say no but that is just me. Now that I chummed the water saying that lets hear it from both sides of the fence. I have had people come across strange problems using the wrong installation (shock and awe) and the incorrect thermostat. Again in my opinion I would not use one.

All went well, time will tell I guess. Keeping an eye on the exhaust blower. I put a hood on the intake port hole outside. Here is the video.

I saw the information on using a setback t-stat in conjunction with the Harman PF100's wall control unit in a Harman manual. The site that is linked to in that posting you linked to is to a domain name that is available to acquire.

Yes it's running fine, also much nicer with the draft set to -.45. I can only assume the frozen fresh air flapper, the possibility of the exhaust motor is hard to imagine as I left it on test for an hour and the meter readings were consistent. Some messed up logic on the board? is that possible?

I would think that messed up logic would be fairly consistent in showing up.
The jury is still out for a few more days as to weather the beast has been tamed.
While the OP is still here and for future reference what does the wind load look like on that stove's vent side?

The wind did come from that direction for a few days, North/East. I bought a metal hood to put on top so the cold air is not allowed to blow straight in.
