He shut it doyen, cleaned it and now it only feeds pellets, lights them then auger doesnt feed any more pellets and it dies out. I feel like it is an easy fix, but not sure what to do. He has an out then up vent system. He says he cleaned the t section.

Also states that stove won't light on room temp mode, only stove mode.

Could it be dirty esp probe?
wires loose in back for sensor?

Simple question here, he has the the hopper door shut ?

ESP is the stoves main sensor. If the stove does not get to temp or the ESP does not get proof of fire in a set period of time it will shut down. Clean the ESP and try again. Should be brushed with every cleaning or ton. I can tell mine is getting dirty by the higher consumption of fuel.

Was a non-grounded ash vac used during the cleaning? Could be a static charge transfer and fried the control board?
Wow. Really?! Never heard of that. He isnt running a humidifier. ..I guess is possible, but why does it push outpellets and light, but not have the auger then work once it's llit?

Winter air is extremely dry and sucking dry air through a plastic tube will generate static.
If wires were loose on the ESP the stove should throw a 6 blink code I believe.

What is the cleaning process - a deep clean? Cleaned all internal exhaust pathways? Exhaust venting? Have you checked that the barb on the exhaust end of the vacuum hose is clear? No dirt, cracks or breaks in vacuum hose? Checked wiring to the door and hopper switches?

What kind of thermostat has he got hooked up?

No thermostat, just the simple wires from harman, the temp prob sensor.

thanks guys. Hopefully ill fix it tomorrow. Gonna be a cold night for him. How easy is it toget to the esp probe?

Check youtube for a cleaning video? Seems the p series is very well covered.

Check the temperature probe - someone had their pup chew on their's a bit...

Yes and that shorted the probe wires which sent the stove bonkers as I recall...

In this video they remove the back panel of what appears to be an Accentra FS. With this cover off you should have free access to the ESP. They don't specifically show cleaning it but it is back there. They do show the fines box and also cleaning or removing the heat exchanger baffles for cleaning. If this stove is used, don't miss that step because others have had stoves shut down from incomplete cleaning of ash. https://video.search.yahoo.com/vide...a&sigb=141vf6qt5&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001

So, I went to his house tonight after watching youtube and reading your replies...
took the whole thing apart and cleaned it really good. Found esp probe and cleaned it. It was so dirty that it didn't want to come out. I also gutted the baffles and just gave a hard core cleaning. He was shocked how dirty it was and shocked that certain parts could "do that" in regards to cleaning the unit.

He fully expected that the cleaning wouldn't work, but low and behold, it fired up, and stayed lit.

I also found he had pellets jammed in the hopper lid so it wouldn't close well... another talking point.

I told him about this site and your help again... but wonder if he will use it.

Dan, if you read this you owe me a round of golf AND lunch!
But, glad I helped you.

He has you trained to clean his stove now. Why should he visit here? :)
Glad to hear it worked out.
