Gas m otor but my previous car (VW TDI) worked

Why the 3 ft vertical ?? Just wondering

Owen, the pictures in the manual show installs with OAK - however, the wording in the manual does not make it mandatory there are qualifiers. Need to make sure that gets cleaned up .... as in "mandatory for all installations".

Yes WETT certs up here that follow NFPA but defer to manufacturer's specs ... to which the above statement applies. I will admit that I missed the Direct Vent appliance reference for pellet stoves along with gas and oil appliances as that is a change I had not seen before...

Sorry not up selling; product placement...;lol

Interesting thread, especially with England Stoves and USSC both injecting words of wisdom.

What happened to the OP? They seem to be absent now?

Owen knows whare I stand on installations. By the book, always.

i dunno, may not have realized a USSC technician was present here. (somthing im exceedingly happy to see) nice having reps on board the more of them we have the better information is available
Who's that from USSC????

The OP is draining his gas tank and cleaning out the fuel injection.

Really if you put the OAK in 3 feet shouldn't be required.
Except that there is usually (sometimes?) a requirement that the vent be above the OAK. I don't remember by how much, but I do remember the town inspector checking it on my PDVC.

I was under the impression that Owen was a partner at USSC, not a technician.....lol

Not going into it with US Stove anymore, not worth the hastle. The place we bought it from has been wonderful. Never will we ever buy another piece of junk from US Stove again, wish we had read about the companies reputation before we made a purchase. Done with the thread so thanks to you people who were really there to try to help

Therein lies the lesson for today.
Amen and Amen.
