I got my first stove today! I was browsing this site for a bit to get info so thanks to all who post here, the info was very helpful. I had wanted a pellet stove and then thought about a wood burning stove. Knowing me and what I would like my friend said hands down it was pellet (he has a pellet and a fireplace). I got a Harman XXV and so far so good (after 10 hours, haha). I'd post a picture but I'm getting "plug-in failure" message. I was able to upload the picture to as my avatar. I got a grey slate hearth. I really like the look of it. Uneven and rough in some places, a nice natural look.

Welcome and enjoy seeing how pellet crazy some are.

Is that flame all the way to the top????

Congrats on the new stove!

Yes. It doesn't get lower when I adjust the setting so I assume it supposed to look this way? The back is angled so when the flame hits it, it seems to ride up.
Edit: actually i did get it to turn down, I was adjusting the wrong knob.

Yea, be careful and don't over fire it. Your just wasting valuable pellets and probably stressing it.

Welcome! Enjoy the HEAT! Read up....

nectarologist, Welcome to the forum! Read your manual, check out the Harman website for videos on maintenance, and don't be afraid to ask questions...

bogieb, Is that yours or just wishful thinking? Big sis has a BMW ... got hit by a car, busted up ribs but only minor damage on legs due to opposing heads on the bike ... not 6 months later she bought a new one  Crazy but we still love her;lol

Hard to over fire a Harman if everything is working the way it should.
Just keep turning the stove to test for a few cycles and see what happens:)

That would be mine - parked at work this fall. Traded in my '06 Street Glide in September for the '11 SG pictured.

I think the OP just proved you wrong. As long as there are adjustments, someone will adjust the wrong way. I doesn't matter what stove we're talking about, even the High Priest of Stoves............................................. Quadrafire. :)

Did the stove ever over fire? Or did the stove just happen to be at high fire trying to satisfy the esp or room temp when the picture was taken?

If you read his posts, he admits that he was turning the wrong adjustment. After he realized it, he got the flame back under control.

Ok that was a normal size call for heat flame! The esp and feed rate are set one of the two would have stopped an over fire ,not sure how quad does it but no worries mate on the harmans.
