I just bought my first pellett stove and went with the ravelli 100. My questine if anybody here is familer with them is the thermostat on the display is always reading a higher temp like 82, but I have it set to run for 72.My thermostat in the other area will say the temp is 63. I have a open floor plan in my house and is 1200 square feet, and The stove can get 44,000 btu. Also what power setting should I use as I keep it at 3 now but don't feel to much of a difference. Also I did have the pellett stove startup that is required when you buy a ravelli.

That stove has two different thermostat sensors on the stove. One is located on the back of the unit (little black thermistor wire), one is located right on the control board (little knobby underneath the 3 buttons).

In your thermostat screen make sure that the box that says Sensor Consolle is NOT checked. If it is checked its reading off the screen sensor, where its inherently hotter than behind the stove.

If the stove screen is saying modulation continuously than its running in its lowest mode because temperature has been "reached".

Another thing is, you may have to find a temperature difference to how you want the house, maybe setting the stove at 76* instead of 72* will get you that magic number in the home.

I have one of these units and they are great in terms of heat output and quality of construction.

Also on another note, I'm hoping that whoever you bought it from did a proper RDS setup on the unit to have it running at peak efficiency.

Panicattack : Make sure that the rear temperature probe (black wire with a black plastic tip) is extended away from the stove body, so it measure the air temp rather than the stove body.

My Ecoteck/Ravelli was working fine for 2 years, and then the room temperature display began showing a temperature about 15 degrees higher than the actual air temperature. I had to replace the temp sensor probe (about $20) to fix this problem. There was someone else on the forum who had the same problem. I suspect Ecoteck/Ravelli had a bad batch of thermistor temp probes, that drift over time.

SteveG518 : Do you know the RDS setup procedure?

Thank you guys both for the help I was able to solve my problem based on your posts. Have your pellett stove ever turned off during the night and said no pelletts yet was filled with pelletts, this has happened to me twice.

A stove turning-off could be caused by :
1) A momentary power failure that triggered the automatic shut-down mode of the stove.
2) Your programmable thermostat/timer shut it down (maybe you did not realize the chrono-therm was set)
3) Pellet bridge/jam in the hopper/auger prevented pellets from feeding.

I have never had a pellet bridge or jam with my Ecoteck
