I took a meter to read continuity and I am getting reading in triple digits so that would mean I have a break somewhere between motor (comb) and terminal block.

I assume you unhooked the 2 blue wires to motor from the board before testing?Ohms across those 2 is around 120.I shows open, leave meter hooked up and wiggle test the harness.I thought you said motor was running?

I checked continuity on comb motor and got triple digits so I must have a break between terminal and motor.......
I checked with it being unplugged got 114

Geez, leave us hangin'... Make sure you come back and let us know what was up.

Sorry didn't mean to do that..yeah it sounds like the circuit may have had it.
I asked Bob if I could call him and he graciously gave me his number, very helpful and knowledgeable. We chatted about 30 minutes.

Thanks Bob!!

Thanks guys ... sorry to hear it may be the board. Caught my interest because the Elenas have the combustion motors. Glad to hear you have the wire marking system down Mark - learned the hard way when my son took a motor out of a clothes dryer without marking wires/drawing diagram/taking photo.

Yeah I learned the hard way about wiring (see Bobs link on first page) The terminal block is a plastic resin thingy and all slots are now scored with appropriate color w/ magic marker, but similar colors like blues and blacks do have additional tags on them with where they come from with a number attached that corresponds with terminal number.

Helps keep the cursing to a minimum and dog doesn't get upset.

I sent an email to [email protected] He does circuit board rebuilds and sales of rebuilds. I had used him for a rebuild 4 years ago.
Anyway after talking to Bob Bare on the phone I emailed Joe with the symptoms I was having and he agreed as Bob had thought that the board was shot and to send it to him.nia
So my board goes to Sunny California and I get to freeze, Oh the irony!

Couldn't you have hand delivered that board?;lol

Any special TLC tips for the ebm papst to ensure long lifespan?
