Is the Shoulder Season Here Yet?

I will be running out of my best pellets in about 5 days. :mad:

-25 to -30 degs here tomorrow night gusting winds up 60 MPH,both stoves will be running that's for sure

Jeff

It is already -8 here, so I'm guessing the shoulder season isn't here yet. I put the upstairs stove on T-Stat mode instead of SmartStat mode for the first time since I put it on a thermostat. On the plus side, I've got plenty of FSU's to run in both stoves.

4 tons stash burnt, now doing the 6 bag trips every few days, my stash in the basement is depleted thanks to this crap cold and snow :mad:

I'm in to my last ton so the grab some when you see them season is here.

Lawn mowers and grills are displacing the pellet piles and it's going to stay below zero tommorow.:(

Shoulder season is a myth. We only have two seasons; Winter and July.
1::F, Must be Winter.

You must have HUGE shoulders.

My house dropped from 74-72 overnight, yesterday morning was 8 deg, today it's -3. Might be hitting the threshold when I have to turn the P61 up a little. But in any event, blizzard tonight and tomorrow with winds up to 75 mph, even colder weather coming next week, so hang on for that shoulder season ! The good news is it's supposed to be 20 deg in between there someplace.

Everyone I know has just plain had it with winter, except my wife she loves this crap. I have no idea why, she is arthritic and she also is a self proclaimed klutz. Add ice, snow , cold, how does that make any sense ? I thought not, of course it doesn't make any sense, none what so ever.

Damn cold out. I may have to stock up on the some shoulder pellets this weekend.

Next summer I am getting 4 tons. I will have to make more room in the garage by selling my Maserati. >>

Well here in New England, it ain't gonna change. From what I've been reading the hefty snowpack is going to keep everything cold so we get lots of snow, the ocean is nice and warm so it's generating lots of precip, and the jet stream is stuck and it's pulling in plenty of west-to-east storm patterns. One forecaster today said the weather pattern isn't likely to change until the season changes. So no, it ain't shoulder season yet.

Well is it ?

:cool:Looks to be around here. 28 F at wake up. Shut everything down. Will fire up something at supper. Possible upper 50's the upcoming week

10::F here this morning. They say there is a warming trend, but the weather forecasts are wrong more often than they are right. I'll keep the stove on high output until April.

If the forecast is correct the stove will be off all day and shoulder pellets overnight
