Greetings.
Our family recently moved into a home that has an Austroflamm (Wega? No manual for stove) pellet stove.
About a month ago the auger stopped working. I went through some recommended troubleshooting procedures and determined that the auger motor had failed. I notified our landlord, sent him all the information off the motor and he purchased one and sent it to us.
While waiting for the replacement to arrive I cleaned the stove and chimney. I also found a cracked hose (a clear flexible hose) on what I believe to be the vacuum switch in the rear of the stove. I repaired that.
Having said all that once the stove was put back into operation the consumption of pellets has increased dramatically. We are going through approximately 2 bags a day when we used to go through 1.
I was hoping someone may have some insight into what may be causing this change in performance.
The auger motor appears to be working as it should judging by the feed indicator light.

The clear vac hose may have been the trouble all along as a loss of vacuum shuts the auger circuit off. Possible the landlord sent the motor assembly that was twice the rpm?
I altered the thread title to get attention of others with same stove and maybe someone will chime in with a manual link and first hand knowledge.

Was wondering about the motor rpm.
 
Found a trouble shooting manual. Will try to PM to you
 
1.1 rpm, pretty slow. They have a great combustion-exhaust fan assembly on that stove.
 
I had a 1.1 on my stove (Integra) before the auger motor died I replace with even slower one @1.0 rpm's
Could the fact has been extremely cold have something to do with consumption? a lot of us go through almost 2 bags a day under these conditions, unless you have small heating area.
 
Also the motor may have been slowing down for a while before it failed, now the new one is running at the speed it's supposed to ......................

80 pounds in 24 is around 3.3 lbs an hour or stove output over a bit over 20 thousand btus an hour figuring stove eff. of under 80%

I am waiting to hear back to determine what rpm the motor runs at.
I see in an online manual that the circuit or control board has potentiometers on it for all the motors.
If the motor with a higher rpm was sent to me can I adjust the pot to slow down the feed rate?

Probably not anywhere near what your looking for.

Yes you can adjust the feed rate via the potienmeter but it is not an immediate process per se as you need to determine what feed rate is good for you combined with your combustion settings.
your auger is either going to 1.1 or 1.0 rpms a minute

Hello again.
After reviewing the thread I realized that I had left out an important part in my description of what is going on with our stove.
We are seeing the increased usage while the auger feed rate is set at it's lowest point.
Even at this setting we are going through a 40 lb. bag in less than 12 hours.
I don't know if this sheds any new light on our issue.
Once again thanks for any insight or recommendations.

Comparison of outside temps? Same? Inside temps? Are they the same despite the increased feed?

If the vac switch was bad possibly you are now using what you should have been before?
