Just picked up 3 bags to try out this season. More expensive ($6.99ea) than any other brand I've used previously.

I found an old thread that people thought these burned hotter (guessing since it's a blend of hardwood & softwood) and were made by Lignetics.

Anyone using these this year? Have they been as good as reported?

Yeah, the bag does not have very many specifics. The folks at our hardware store said they heard nothing but good reports for these and that they are a blend of hard and soft woods. Unless they magically have no fines or very little ash, I doubt I'll spend the money for these at $6.99 each.

Been running these after my last cleaning. Lots of ash and dark sooty residue on the inside walls of the stove. I've tried adjusting feed rate and Stove temp rates to see if I can get a clean burn. So far no luck.

I'm going to clean the stove again this weekend and run some of the O'Malley's/Power Pellets again to see if the stove isn't burning cleanly or if it's just these pellets...
