So correct me if I'm wrong but I thought a blue flame was the hottest. Sooooo how come whenever I see a orangy/reddish flame my stove kicks heat like a bucking horse kicks pain? Those North Americans I burned for a while always had blue in the flame, but no where near the heat as the reddish/orangy flame my Energex are giving me. Also the white pine garbage I burned gave a bright yellow glow and no where near the heat everyone that loves them says they give. Blue is one of my fav colors but orange is in style!

someone correct me if im wrong but blue is the coolest part of a flame (less heat). the hottest fire would be a white flame. yellow i believe is hotter than red.

May be that a neutral flame is just running more air past the exchangers and so fast that they can't pick it up and put into the room.

If you are looking at a pure flame, from a pure substance, blue is hottest. However, you may be getting blue (or green or purple) from the chemicals/minerals in the wood pellets.

Blue flame is a more Oxygenated and hotter flame. Lazy yellow flame in a pellet stove is less oxygenated and more sooty.
