How bad have timber heat been this year? I stopped at lowes to pick up North americans for the cold snap here. Never impressed w NA but I was able to run the quad castile on medium last night's 0deg weather and wake up to 70+ temp with timber heat Id have to run on high and supliment with oil.

no problem with them here other than a lot of long pellets, My AGP insert doesn't care.. it cuts them down on the way to the auger, medium heat and ash.. cheap when I got them delivered by Lowes in August, 535.00 out the door to my door for 2 tons

Prob got them around when I did. I got mine at newburgh Lowes. Easily the least heat I have gotten out of a pellet, picked up some GS NA and lignetics all were quite a bit hotter. The quad also cuts them down because of the length of some.

Timber Heat (Biomaxx, Pittsford NY, white bag with 2014 date code) : I like them much better than this years Stove Chows.

Really. I literally cany keep the house warm with them. I have burned instant heat, greenway, lignetics, natures own. awf, DS, NA and others and never had this problem. I was thinking it was my stove but after burning lignetics, north american and even GS I know its the the pellets.

I burned 4 tons, was way more impressed with the Currans I picked up even though they are a lot more dirty for some reason in my stove. Heat output is way better with the Currans.

I just picked up two bags of timber heat yesterday while I was at lowes just to give them a try...I like to experiment with different pellets

Burned 7 bags this season. I agree, better than Currans, which is what Lowes is selling as North American or something like that. Green bag with literally the same logo on a different colored bag...

Wife likes the Timbers since they start every time without issue. Heat is good and way less ash than Curran Blend.

I will say they are good and bad. Once they get burning they give out alot of heat. The house is toasty...however getting them to light is a whole other ballgame...they suck and with the serenity having that timeout feature for 30 minutes before you can relight it...it took me until 930 this morning to get the stove started.

Thats odd, their the easiest starting pellet for us this year...

I burned about 12 bags of those this year. Tractor supply had them. Easy starting and burned nice and warm. I'm finding that my stove will burn anything you put in it though. I don't really pay attention to ash as I only have to clean out ash about once per month. Glass stayed just as clean as with any other pellet and no clinkers. Pellets were long as hell though, I could hear my auger popping occasionally when breaking them.

ditto on the long pellets.. no problems here with starting .. compared to the newp's \ green supremes, much less ash and it is light gray, whereas the newps are black and foamy and foul the burn platform more. The timber heats also put out noticably more heat compared to the newps

Yep, I pulled out the clean energy pellets this morning and filled it up...lit right up no issues....I like them once they get started but getting them started is hard.

Has anybody found any real information on the timbers? I mean as far as what they consist of for materials? (Besides wood) :-/

I cant find anything on them and the upc reader comes up empty as well.
I did pick up 4 bags yesterday to try. And the ones i got are very short. The longest one in 3 bags is maybe 3/4" long. Decent heat. Not a whole lot of ash either. They burn alot like the softies i have. The smell is a bit off to me though and i cant figure it out.

They put "Wood" as the contents because they change all the time. I had 5 bags from last season and they were long (2") and the pellet color was dark. The bags I got this season were also on the longer side, but less of them and they were lighter in color. Both burned just fine and were plenty warm. I think because they are a cheaper pellet though, the ingredients tend to change.
