Just started on a new ton of Somersets I purchased from Lowes and large pellets keep jamming auger. I bought 4 tons at one time and this is the first problem I have had. Does this often happen with pellet brands or did I just get lucky?

How long are we talking. My o malleys and barefoots where long but my auger just eats them up no issue
1 inch or a little more. My auger eventually chews up but I will see fire die down and auger starts making a ticking noise like something has it stuck.

I wouldn't call 1 to 1.5 inch long. I bought 7 tons last fall and no problems here.

Careful, I don't think the moderators allow negative comments about Somerset's.
No problem here with any kind of pellets as long as they can mix with corn:) I take that back, bird food company pellets that look like library pencils and burn like something collected from a chicken coop are banned.

I'm on my 3rd ton of Sets and the latter were recently purchased. Haven't noticed any 1.5'ers in the lot.
