How long are we talking. My o malleys and barefoots where long but my auger just eats them up no issue
1 inch or a little more. My auger eventually chews up but I will see fire die down and auger starts making a ticking noise like something has it stuck.

No problem here with any kind of pellets as long as they can mix with corn
I take that back, bird food company pellets that look like library pencils and burn like something collected from a chicken coop are banned.

I'm on my 3rd ton of Sets and the latter were recently purchased. Haven't noticed any 1.5'ers in the lot.
