Breckwell P2000i not feeding pellets

I seem to have an auger jam or auger motor fail.

I put it in start-up mode and after a reasonable interval, no pellets in burn pot. When I press manual feed button, no pellets.

Ignition is fine.

Anything short of removing the auger and/or motor to free up a jam to try? Working a wire hanger from top or bottom, or the like?
 
Sounds like you already have the general idea of what will need to be done. Never know as there might be something other than pellets stuck in the auger flights. So suck out all the pellets you can and start digging and poking.
 
Does the auger sound like it's trying to do its job?

If you have a small mirror and a flash light shine the light up the drop shoot and hold the mirror where you can see up the drop shoot. I'm not familiar with the 2000i but if it looks jammed try and use a screw driver/coat hanger/whatever and stick it up the drop shoot to see if you can free it. Something solid like a screw drive would work better than a coat hanger. If it's jammed it could be jammed other than the end of the auger.

If the problem doesn't seem to be at the drop end of the auger my next step would be to clean out the hopper and see what you can see at the load end of the auger, using the same small mirror and flashlight.

Needless to say try the easiest solution first before you start removing parts.

Other than that how do you like the 2000i? What year is yours? Have you had much trouble with it?

Dig out as much pellets as you can, and then look is there and see if your pellets have bridgedover the drop chute
and blocked the pellets from the chute.
Happen twice last year, with pellets that were damp and full of fines, and the fines would stick together, and form
a bridge in front of the chute. You will have to clean those pellets of the fines

The mirror trick will save you a lot of time and digging. TRUST me.

Let us know how the problem turns out for ya. The spelling has improved shoot chute

This happened to me. i emptied the pellets and saw that the auger was not moving at all.

borrowed from the 'mirror trick' mentioned here but used my phone to snap pictures through the chute (see attached)

used a screw driver to loosen it up, then stuck the vacuum there while i turned the auger on the help with the pressure to get it out.
