Just curious if the new stoves are being run thru beta testers yet, and if anyone's got any pics of them? I have a buddy wanting a new stove and he's kinda holding out to see how these turn out! And of course, how they deliver!!!

You talking about this one? I hear the beta's will be going out soon, supposed to be cleaner burning than the IS, a bit smaller.

If it's priced accordingly(less than the IS) and has all the great features and efficiency of the bigger models, it should be quite a contender !

With the second door it wouldn't surprise me if the price was the same as the IS. That's a lot of extra hardware to assemble, gasket and fit.

I love all that I have read about the WS products and their customer service. Now all I want is for them to add in some pedestal stoves. I am presently installing a pedestal style Napoleon in a new home and some day would like to upgrade but I have no intention of leaving a hole in the floor protection by going to a stove with legs. The IS hybrid looks real good until you go to the web site and see that they are all standing on legs. Maybe it will be an option for that 211.

There are many stoves with legs that only require ember protection.

My OAK runs through the floor to reach the pedestal on my Napoleon. If I went to something with legs it would leave behind an ugly scar though my nice tile floor. The pedestal keeps that out of sight.

Got it, the concern is visual. Wouldn't a replacemnt stove utilize the same oak connection?

yes, with the backlog people waiting for their stoves, im surprised they would spend any time on anything but getting new ones out the door!

Couldn't you just pull one tile and change it? I've done this before many times, as long as there are extra tiles and you know the grout color!

I would expect that the R&D team is separate from the production dept.

Big fan of Woodstock but I had the same thought. I recall even the folks who answer the phones were called out of the office and put on the floor to aid in building back ordered stoves. They really should get their manufacturing deficits in order before creating new products they will have trouble producing. R&D should be solving the manufacturing problems first not creating new ones.

Of course, it's possible they've already started implementing improvements. Manufacturing expansion doesn't happen overnight. Maybe they feel they've addressed the problem and with a season of testing yet to come they'll be in good order for increased demand. We'll just have to see.

Gotta love a small business that has that "problem"! Growing pains.....I'd say they are doing something right. I've worked in a small business environment that ran into those same problems and we worked a buuuunch of hours to get it done, which I'm sure is what they're doing. They've certainly probably sold many more IS stoves than they may have anticipated is all I can think. Heck, my buddy at work ordered one yesterday! Those things must be selling like mad, they told him the end of March before he'd see it! The biggest challenge seems to be keeping a balance of fullfilling current orders and not going to big, to the point if things slow down you have a bunch more overhead and no way to feed that pig! Being a small family owned business like they are, the last thing they probably want to do is hire a bunch of people, add on and then get caught up and lay everyone off! That's no fun for anyone ! I have no idea of their situation but that seems to be how it usually works in the small businesses I've been around

Well great news, almost immediately after my post I got an email saying my Keystone is shipping today or tomorrow!

Early Beta testing is beginning very soon for at least one person that I am aware of. There will be spring and fall Beta testing. They are keeping details on the down low and beta testing may be more secretive with less public knowledge this round.

Those interested in this stove may want to plan on it not being available for at least another year. I think they are approaching this new design with more caution. That's my opinion from what I've been told.
