Feed her.
When mine gained 40 lbs the whining about the cold stopped. Much cheaper to keep the shack at 65 than 70.
If my wife gained 40 lbs I'd be the one whining, and she'd be colder than ever........since she'd be out the door.

I guess you haven't been with her long enough. It is what is inside that counts.

She is more beautiful now than ever.

Been with her 30 yrs actually. If I put on 40 lbs I would hope and expect her to do the same, with some forewarning of course so I could get my self back in shape. I like my women fit and lean, always have and always will, and that's one thing that attracted me to my wife. Call it being shallow, call it being vain, I call it being honest. I hit the gym every day and my wife REALLY appreciates it. And I appreciate that she's kept her body looking like she's still 20 even though she just cracked 50.

She was always underweight. She really does look better now. Sorry about your shallowness, maybe you can still mature out of it.

If caring about your spouse and family being fit and healthy is being shallow, I thank you very much for the compliment. :) And if your wife was underweight and is now a healthier weight, that is awesome, seriously. Sorry if I offended you, I really am. I've been a fitness 'nut' for years because my Dad had his first heart attack at 33 years old, so I try to do everything I can not to follow that same path and so far, so good. Now it's time to get my workout by pulling the Harman out of the wall and giving it a full cleaning. Even with my gym routine, this thing definitley hasn't gotten any lighter over the last 15 years. Wish the damn thing was on rollers.

You didn't say anything offensive. Just honest.
Everyone has a body image. My wife and I also keep things in shape and keep it very honest with each other. We look at it as our responsibility to keep each other interested and the best way to do that is by keeping fit.

Oh, and try some deadlifts to make stove lifting easier. :)

Anyway... back on topic. Due to clearing "snice" this morning, I was the last out of the house for a change. Went around checking that lights were off, and noticed one of the second floor T'stats (6 zones of baseboards in the house) was set at 70F "Permanent Hold". Okay... so I check the others and find two more set the same way. Also found a 70" LCD TV left on the Netflix home screen since at least yesterday evening, thru this morning. It seems like my wife is almost trying to fight me on every penny I save!

At least she didn't put on 40 lb. ;lol

Touchy. One has to wonder who was the other.

Well, I'm sorry if he was offended. I thought the suggestion to have your wife put on weight, just to avoid having to turn up the thermostat, is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard.

Feed her.

You have my sympathy and my true hope that ill health never befalls you and causes your looks to change since your wife will leave you and you will be both sick and alone.
By the way, honest and offensive are not mutually exclusive. Since you are a fitness freak too, you are probably well aware of BMI? Look up the BMI for a person of 5'6". You will find a forty pound spread. Since she was underweight before, she is well within her recomended BMI now, but with much larger bosom.
This is my wife. I am going to ask that you refrain from further comments, since you don't seem to understand what is and is not offensive to others.
