I am interested in buying a BK Insert for next winter heating season (2015\2016) and I was wondering what is the best time of year to get the cheapest price? I assume dealers will be motivated to sell and not carry inventory over the summer so should I wait till July\Aug or will it really not make any difference? Any advice would be appreciated... I live in RI and could use a recommendation on a dealer within driving distance as well.

Thanks in Advance

Do the dealers actually have stoves in stock or do they order when you order?

2 years ago when i bought mine the best price seemed to be around june.

I have one for sale in NH. Just reduced the price to 1400, will throw in the 2 cord of wood I have left as well. Bought this thing brand new a year ago. Probably the best price you will get on one. Mine is in near mint condition!

Look at the thread on here about trying to sell a BK Princess insert in New Hampshire, looks like a good deal on a fairly new unit.. not sure exactly how far a drive it is, but looks like it certainly would be a day trip there and back.

Just saw your thread. Best deal of 2015 right there! Really tempting...

As far as the original topic, I made the mistake of waiting until prices started stepping up on September/October to buy. If I were looking for a deal, I'd hit the ground running in May/June.

I'd be on that like yesterday. You probably won't find a better deal, ever.
