Going to my in laws up in northern nh next week. Called a stove shop that is on the way up. They sell cubex for 6 bucks a bag. Never tried them before and he will only sell 10 bags to people that didn't buy a stove from him. Should I grab these and are they any good? Heard of them but never tried them before. Also is that a good price?

I have used them, they are very good.

Hit or miss. They were one of the best but I feel there quality has gone down.

6 clams is a good price though

Cubex is all I use $6:00 average price
We pay $5:56 plus Tax a bag when buying a ton
Very hot, low ash just my option

the Cubex of this year and many more ash dust than the previous year
I pay $6.00 + tax a bag and $5.75 + tax when buying 1 1/2 ton

Burning them atm. Seem ok. Although my stove seems to make a lot more noise (lots of knocking like someone is trapped in my stove, haha) I guess it's the auger breaking some of the bigger pellets?

I am really liking the Cubex right now after almost 3 tons of Crabbes, as someone commented on another thread, daily Crabbe cake in the burn pot, dirty, dirty, dirty. These Cubex have been great heat and very little ash in my current batch which was the same price as your seeing $6.00 per bag or $299 a ton. I used these exclusively a few years a go and loved them, next year not so much. The parent company makes hardwood flooring so I would think that they would be pretty consistent, but history tells me otherwise. Anyways buy a few and run them through!

Not sure I'll use them next year, I find they burn so black, that has also been the comments of people I know around here. I'm experimenting with other brands right now, we'll see.
