Replaced our Blaze King Princess Insert with a new to us Accentra 52i. So happy not to be hauling wood around anymore....

Matches very well with the XXV we have on the other side of the house.

Did the same thing this year. But mine was a Country Flame. Loved the heat of the wood burner but the pellet stove is so much easier. You are going to love the Accentra insert. You won't get the extreme heat that you use too but you will get steady pretty good heat from your pellet stove 27/7 at the same level. Enjoy!!

Congrats. The only stacking now is clean 40 lbs. Bags. Already seasoned and just open and pour. Enjoy the heat. Growing up we always had problem with insects coming out in the wood when it was brought inside.

Congrats!

Congrats, great stove.

I can already tell that this decision is sitting much better with the other half! No more swings of temperature on that side of the house and pouring in pellets is way easier for her!

My ONLY and ONLY complaint about the 52i is actually pouring pellets into it. It is a pain in the butt to pour from a full bag into this sucker with the angle of the lid and how small the hopper is. Most likely get a bin to keep pellets in and a scoop to put them in!

So much happier though!

I have found that if you cut the top off the bag and place about an 1/8 of the bag right in the hopper when you pour and us your hand to push pellets back when it fills to the front I have an easier time filling. After practicing this with 200 bags I am getting pretty good at it. It is a juggling trick but over time you get a knack for it. The real trick is keeping the pellets from spilling between lid and back of stove. It is a pain to push those pellets back in hopper due to the small space your working with.

 me too!

What we do to avoid having to keep living the bag is we set it on the edge of the stove, or hopper edge if you will, and cut the bottom side oh the bag open. The pellets just spill out until there is a built up pile at which point we start stuffing the pellets where they need to go. We screen the last few pounds to help keep fines out of the stove. This wouldn't work if the edge of the hopper is hot enough to make a bag stick though.

I burn the fines. I'd burn the bags too if I knew the plastic wouldn't adversely impact the works...aka: gum it up. When I clean my stove and glass, the paper rowels that clean the glass go in the pot to help get the fire going..............

I'm into recycling.

Bugs living in your wood is a SURE sign its not dry enough to burn.

We always burned green wood as a kid. We just made sure we had enough hedge to throw in with it.

Im going just the opposite direction. With pellet prices going insane Im going back to wood. To me the work isn't harder one over the other.....it's just a different form of work. Ill still burn pellets but im not buying 7 tons next year unless they come back down to a reasonable price.

I use a coal bucket, it works great. I attached a picture of mine, but sorry it's blurry. It was a large picture originally and I had to really zoom in.
