Sounds like a wiring/controller issue. Mine has only stopped when it thermaled off and then the stove hit high limit and shut down. The blower came back on as soon as the air temperature in the stove shell got below the the blowers thermal shut off temperature. The up and down variation should not happen while the stove is running.

I remember Don2222 having a little bit of a hassle with the wiring on one he was working on and he asked me to check my wiring.

It involved the wiring as it came into the stove.

Here it is :

I think I found a huge Red Hering here! ! ! It may explain why there were so many issues with the old HRWP and Saranac stoves. I was working on a West Point today just doing a cleaning and replacing the ignitor which came out in 2 pieces! Then I started the stove and the auger did not run. All safety switches checked out and then I noticed I did not put the green ground wire on the back so I did. Then I got voltage to the auger motor and stove started and ran. I said that is very odd that current is running thru the body of the stove like that! Then the convection blower would not come on. I checked all the safety switches again and no problems with any of them. The low limit was hot and closed like it should be. I went back to the other side checing the hi limit. That was good and then I saw it> I could not believe it. The AC wire coming in the back of the stove, the black hot wire was connected to the two white neutral wires going into the stove's wire harness and the white AC wire was connected to the black wire in the stove's wire harness! So I shut the stove down and unplugged it from the wall and switched them to match the wire diagram in the manual. I stared the stove and everything worked like it should! So when I got home, I checked the Saranac I rebuilt and it has the same problem! ! ! Please check yours!

This would explain why some people were have many parts fail! That is why these stoves got a bad rap. Whe they were new, all the grounds were clean and good. So all the components worked. Once they got old a a ground got loose from heat, or vibration or not screwing a ground screw tight. Components start failing left and right!

Please check your stove and tell me what you think?

I checked mine and it was fine and I told Don.

Hi thanks for response back . checked the wiring they okay as diagram . I think its blower fan ... direct power the fan ran on full speed for few mins then speed starts to slowdown to shut off after 10 mins off running it . I cant find the good upgrade replacement blower for it .

When did you last lubricate that blower motor? The original blower needed 2 drops of 20 weight non detergent oil every 6 months in each oil port.

There is an aftermarket blower (a current Enviro one) you will need to contact someone who services that stove.

Don can provide you with a replacement blower.

Order on-line or give him a call. I tried an equivalent blower with a different design that was made for US stove and was not happy with it. It provided more convection than the original, but was louder. Within 6 months of use, it picked up a vibration that got worse with age. Stick with the original design blower.

It will not likely be an OEM part Doocrew it will be one that is used on one of the Enviro stoves. The OP can also search for Savannah Saranac or Tasmon stove parts and perhaps find an OEM part but I wouldn't wanna bet on it.

I knew that, but at the time I posted I could no remember what it was. I believe the newest one I bought from Don is Enviro. Maybe he will chime in. It is an identical design of the original HR.
