The screws holding the tabs to the glass constantly loosened on my old VC Resolute. One time the glass actually dropped inside the firebox with a fully loaded burning stove - fortunately when I was home.
The only way I felt comfortable burning the stove was to makes sure once a week that the screws did not loosen.
