The weather has made a turn and spring feels like it is just around the corner. It is time to start refilling the wood hoard. Last weekend I finally got out and cut again. It sure felt good. Picked up a few nice oak trees from the neighbor. I decided to film it. Just thought I would share it with some of you.

Nicely done video. It would be entertaining to see the "long" version of that - including cutting the tree down, skidding it out to the pasture, some splitting, stacking, etc.

What did you use to film and edit that video?

Thanks! I used a canon Vixia HF R500 camera and openshots on linux to edit it up.

Nice! The snow is finally melting around here... looking forward to getting out and doing the same.

That was real nice! What size were you cutting those pieces? They looked pretty big....

Thanks guys. I did cut them to around 18" - 20". We have a pretty big stove.

Filming did add some time to the day but I have to admit I was just happy to be back outside with some nice weather. I find cutting wood can be very therapeutic. I just enjoy being outside and if I can save on the heating bill in the process, it is a good day for me.

Nice video! I enjoyed watching it. I'm the same way. Spending a day with my chainsaws and bringing home firewood always gives me a sense of accomplishment and is strangely relaxing.

Nice video. Nice property .Nice music. Only thing I have a questoin on , is why leave the rifle alone..LOL I'm sure you had a back up close by.

Thanks for posting

Where do I get a pair of these safety jeans?

Great video! Thanks. Nice stacks.

Enjoyed the video
