I ordered my PE Super 27 from The Chimney Sweep. Great people to deal with. I'm going to upgrade to the Summit. The PE site is not accurate and up to date on their PE dealers when I do a search. I'm not opposed to ordering from The Chimney Sweep, they have been more help to me than just about anyone I've dealt with, but I just hate to have to pay $400.00 shipping. I could buy a different brand from a local dealer, but I'm settled on the Summit. I'm not looking for other stove recommendations. I'm just wondering if most people end up having to have stoves shipped to them to get what they want.

When I talked to a dealer here in VA the closest PE distributor was in either Tennessee or Kentucky. Can't remember which.

Barnhill Chimney in Lexington says they sell PE stoves.

Thanks..I may have called them. That's about a 4 hour drive for me but I'd make it if the price was right. Some places are listed as dealers, but I call and they say they no longer carry PE.. That's what happened with the stove dealer here in town. Frustrating. I talked to a dealer about 60 miles from me that said he could get me one, but I haven't been able to get a hold of him in a week.

Interestingly enough there's a dealer 20 minutes from me. I'm on the Jersey shore. Who woulda thunk

Try asking your local dealers if they can order PE products for you. I drove over an hour to the closest PE dealer listed on the website to see the summit insert when I was shopping. I mentioned this to my local shop (only 5 mins away) when I was pricing other stoves they told me they could order any PE product I wanted, as well as several other brands that they didn't represent themselves as dealers of.

I'll giver a try. Thanx

This will entirely depend on where you live. Some dealers relatively close to me can get just about anything. That being said my last stove was a refurb Englander I ordered online with free shipping (though I had to pay a $75 upgrade fee for a dropgate truck to deliver to my home rather than business, still pretty cheap shipping!). My next stove purchase I'm thinking about now is a Woodstock stove, and they have no dealers, but also free shipping currently.

I had a similar situation where the guy told me he could get anything blaze king.

As above, try your local yellow pages/Google search, etc. The PE "Dealer Locator" is less than optimal. For example, it shows no PE dealers within 100 miles of me. However, I have a very active dealer with showroom, etc., about 10 miles away.
