Along with responsible regulation is personal responsibility. Seems no one wants to buck up for when they do something stupid but get out the lawyers and sue the manufactures.

things are ok , we're working on new products , the intent is to work towards the new standards obviously. one of the things that is helpful is finally knowing what the standards are going to be. kinda hard to work towards hitting a target you cannot see.

this is true as well. you can build the cleanest burning stove on the planet but if the end user is throwing trash, old tires and wood that still has live leaves on it its not going to burn to its designed potential.
trust me , i take a beating every winter frrom people who have cooked green wood for decades and think that how its supposed to work. the old "ive been burning wood since before you were born" while having no clue how the process even happens.
getting people to accept that a modern woodstove is not the same tool as an old pot belly is difficult, getting someone who thinks they know what they are doing yet do not is almost impossible at times, so they get discouraged , sell the modern stove and go pick another old dragon from somewhere and sling it back in and continue their old improper ways cause they dont know better and frankly are too stubborn to learn.
Yeah, I understand what you're saying. But I'd rather have states making any rules about this. The EPA is an over bloated agency, only wanting more power and control over people. Pellet stove emissions are already good.
Yeah that would be just peachy. Any time you want to move from one state to another you have to research whether you car, stove etc. all all are allowed in the destination state.
