5 tons will be delivered on Thursday ready for winter that's yet to come. _g

Had to swallow the delivery charge @ $65.00 this time, still, each bag works out to $5.05 each.

Here that's a really good delivery charge...

DELIVERY CHARGE DELIVERY CHARGE I don't pay no stinking DELIVERY CHARGE
My dealer delivers them for free He also stores them until asked for delivery.
I buy on the spring special and have them delivered in the first week of September.

good price but what pellets???

Fireside Ultra's, they burn well in my stove and produce a nice heat.

Will get an extra ton of pellets in October / November, not sure what ones yet, that will give me 6 tons for 2015 / 2016 season.

$65 delivery charge is the least I could expect, and that is from HD, for any amount. Others don't deliver, and still others charge $100-150 to deliver out here. Since I can only store 2 tons, that ups the price for me pretty good, so I end up just hauling them 15-20 bags at a time in my car. If HD still has FSU's (or any pellets) when I am ready to buy sheetrock, then I will probably go ahead & get another ton then (if I have room).

Great price, delivered. Congrats!

Good... There is no such thing as free shipping. Despite what you hear..

If the price is $295/$65 delivery one day, and the next week a special is $295/free delivery. it's free delivery.

Or the pellets are on sale. FREE SHIPPING caught you eye now its a good deal. I doubt the driver is working for free that week or they got free fuel to use that week.

I'd have to haul them down to the basement door. Probably should wait until the snow is gone and the ground dries out. Could move them into garage temporarily though.

A bit of math says --

5 ton equals 250 bags times 5.05 each equals equals 1262.50 minus 65 delivery fee equals 1197.50 divided by 5 (ton) equals 239.50 each ton.

Close, but you got to take the $65.00 and remove the 5.5% tax that was added to it ($65.00 + 5.5%).

The cost per ton was $239.00.

Geez, they don't tax pellets in PA. I hope no politicians are subscribed here.

I'm suprised they don't in as much as the state government is broke...gotta get it anyway you can...

They tax 'em here in Michigan (atternate fuel tax, which is a creative way to obtain revenue and nothing more). I go to Ohio and get them....no tax.

OK OK you people can say what you like
I pay 265 a ton = 5.30 a bag shipping included
Hd 299.50 a ton = 5.99 a bag + 50 $ shipping
Home Hardware 299.50 a ton =5.99 a bag + 65 $ shipping
Canadian tire do not sell it by the ton 6.99 a bag No Shipping
YiG do not sell by the ton 6.99 a bag no shipping
So what is the best deal they all sell good quality pellets

:p:p:p

Tax on pellets here in Maine is not added (yet), the tax was added to the delivery charge of $65.00 though ! What a scam eh ?

I believe there is only tax on the shipping not the pellets themselves.
