Says he bought an insert and just wants to recover the cost of material for the this heating marvel hybrid inbred insert.
Translation: Wife said get that crap out of the fireplace. I'm still cold and now the place stinks of burning paint. Slammer insert to follow.

I would imagine it has a fridge or freezer as main unit and his car would look something like this.

Ya im sure he has a stupidity rider on his clause, or no bloody insurance at all. Either would not surprise me.

You youngsters may not know it but that is a late 1970s Heatilator insert to extract useful heat from a fireplace. The top and bottom openings were designed to line up with vent openings above and below the glass fireplace doors. It could be equipped with a blower that blew air into a manifold along the bottom of those tubes or could be operated as a natural circulation heater. In its day it was considered to be pretty exciting high tech.
