First winter with a pellet stove and so far so good. I am down to my last 25 bags and burn about a bag per day. Hoping this will take me to the end of the season. Grew up in Boston and it doesn't get much colder than it has been this year. Plus we have had more snow than ever 9 feet. Wondering what people have left in the Boston area luckily no shortage where I live I just didn't want to make another trip if I can help it.
 
Half a ton left too, still need to buy about 5 bags a week to add to.
 
Got 4 tons left.
 
Just barely under a ton left; that's a good thing.

Bought 2 tons and augmented that with another 22 bags because, early in the season (my first), unsure of consumption rate. Now, if I end up with 1/2-ton or more at end of season, I can order two tons with some comfort that I'll finish the season before I finish my supply.
 
Central Ma here... down to about 1/2 a ton or so in the garage.. should be fine. Next year ordering 3 tons rather than 2.. I did make a few trips to HD to buy some pellets because they were there... no Jinx'ing - so I wont predict how many more weeks of cold weather we're going to get.. lol
 
I am down to about 1/2 ton and if I use half of that this spring that is the way I like to end the season. I average about 2 tons per year even with a cold winter like this one. Over the summer I like to have 10 - 20 bags for incidental use.

About the same, 1/2 a ton. I figure to use them up and whenever I run out I can easily buy pellets a week at a time as several vendors near me have had pellets all year.
 
Had one ton in the garage and rescued one more from HD. They had six tons left and four had been torn open on top by an A$$, not enough to get some bags out but just enough to let the rain in.

Usually If you lift the plastic up from the bottomof the pallet it reveals the brand. No plastic ripping nessacary. Another case of the missing Common sense
 
I have a 1/2 ton in my basement and a full ton outside the basement window - in a snow bank - that needs to be moved inside. I hate having to tromp through the snow to get them slid through the window. I'm still holding out hope that most of the snow will be gone before the 1/2 ton inside runs out.
 
Not lazy, it's Sick of it and the work involved!, Oil is dropping fast again, time to fill the tank than deal with pellet's, I did buy 10 bags of FSU yesterday, have maybe a ton left
 
I am just south of Boston. This is also my first year with a pellet stove. Harman Accentra 52i
This winter has been very tough. I have burned 3 tons of DF'S and have about 35 bags left from the 4th ton. We have been heating our entire house 2,500 sq ft colonial with no problem at all. We only use oil for hot water and we just filled up yesterday for $2.29 and the last time we filled up was mid July.
We have a 275 gallon tank. Spring is just two days away . The bad news is they are calling for 2-5 inches of snow from Friday night into Saturday. EEEENNNOOOUUUGGGHHH!

I have a different perspective. This is my first year burning pellets and there is a certain satisfaction coming down the stairs in the morning and having it roasty-toasty inside while the wind is howling and it's freezing outside. Almost feel guilty knowing the oil burner is turned off.
