Picked up 2009 Breckwell Classic Cast P4000 with broken door glass.
Guy swears he bought brand new in 2012 and nothing was changed except room blower.
It has a Ashley Hearth Products Control Board on it,does anyone know if they were sold that way?
I also need to know if a gasket goes around door opening on body of stove.

The control board and burn pot look like the ones on my mid 2000's Breckwell P-22. My control board has several Breckwell labels. I could not find the Ashley name anyplace on the board.

I do believe Ashley is a name associated with the United States stove company, whom I believe bought Breckwell a couple of years ago. It looks like a Breckwell classic, I'd check the owners manual for the gasket position on the stove. Owen is on the forum here, he is a US Stove rep. Good luck with her.

Fixed the door and ran the stove for a few months. It runs great when it lights.Every now and then the stove fills with smoke before lighting. It`s driving me crazy so I cleaned combustion fan and ordered a new ignitor.I still think my problem is the Ashley Hearth control board. Can anyone tell me if the board on the stove is compatible?
Its a 2009 P4000 Classic Cast.

Hello
Looks like a Breckwell control panel with an Ashley decal on it. I am a US Stove and a Breckwell Dealer. Breckwell did sell out to US Stove so that should work fine. What I found is that when cleaning the stove you need to blow out the ash traps with a compressor to get them completely clean. You also may want to upgrade the exhaust blower. Both will help your smokey starts.

Thanks Don,I`ll give that a try.I do believe one of the blowers was replaced by the past owner.
I`ll take a look while its apart.

Regardless, breckwell stoves have breckwell controls, not Ashley. The door gasket is not installed right and there should be no gasket in the stove side. Guessing the glass cracked because the glass was taken out or replaced and the gasketing was done half ass. Betcha the convection blower was replaced along with the control board. There was issues with boards taking it the convection blower. No breckwell stove would come with an Ashley board. Dealers of breckwell also became alienated when USSC bought the brand and started selling direct outside of New England...so there goes your service people and the brand becomes a homeowner special. In New England Ray Murray still holds all distribution rights but very few dealers actually stand behind the brand, especially outside of NE. The Seller lied to you, albeit maybe inadvertently. Maybe he bought it used thinking it was new, who knows. Our minds are the first to go and what we think is real is often the lies we tell ourselves just to keep up appearances.

don222 wasn't referring to replacing with the same part as the manufacture he was suggesting an "upgrade" he has a fetish for useless tinkering, and hotrodding pellet stoves..;)
ill give him credit he dose seem to know his stuff, and helped me with a wifi thermostat issue a while back, but I cant see wasting money on aftermarket "upgrades," i think is recommendation of the use of a compressor is a good place to start. then verify correct voltages at combustion blower.

Can also just wrap the back wall with a hammer

I took that extra gasket off the door after replacing cracked glass.,and did the dollar bill test, tight as a button all around door.

Blew the stove out, took out combustion blower and cleaned it,replaced ignitor and it glowed like I`ve never seen before and she started right up.Had trouble getting ignitor out I told my husband to hit it with a hammer from inside. He told me he knows what he`s doing, half hour later and bloody knuckles he asked for the hammer. But not very nicely! I don`t know why men don`t listen! We also had to take auger out,he said chit! I can`t get to it, I said plug the frigging stove in,turn it on and when cotter pin gets to a good spot, say stop.Thank you Daddy for teaching a girl mechanics. Thanks for all the help.Love this site!
