Do anyone know of any new stoves that will hit the market this summer? I have been looking for awhile but I have decided to wait for next years models since the winter is almost over.

If it's new, I would not touch it until it's been out for at least a year, has a decent install base and seems likely not to explode! The early adaptor concept could be good with hybrid cars, not sure about pellet stoves? But that's what I think about computer operating systems too :)

I was on harmans website this morning and see that they have the absolute 43 on their now...pretty interesting stuff

It probably has, now if the industry would just adopt it is another story. Look at the controls and features of the now defunct Bixby(2006). Plug into a laptop and control way more than most can understand. Cleaning easy and monthly. The UBB would be a very good basement dweller.

Osburn Volta just won the 2015 Vesta award for pellet stove. Checked the SBI website, Osburn site but they don't mention if it is available this year:confused: Battery back-up and DC operation are the selling features ... https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=911560355543074&id=139897329376051

No info on their homepage yet but Harman doesn't have info on the Absolute on their homepage either. That model was the 2013 Vesta winner.

Wiseway won the 2014 Vesta but it is seems to require more tending as it is not a conventional pellet stove.

Quadrafire Mount Vernon E2 seems to need more of the bugs worked out ... time will tell. Not sure when they came out...

Englander's newest was the 25-IP (available 2012). Not really new now but more of a European stove look.

Enviro seems to have some pretty solid performers...

I've had good operation with the Ecoteck (now Ravellli) and there are Piazzetta owners here that love their stoves while some have had some issues.

All depends on the features and look you want and the price point... start searching the threads of the forum to see what info there is and problems that have occurred.

A prudent statement that I tend to agree with:)

Someone on the forum said that enviro is coming out with a pellet stove that is based on the boston 1200 wood stove. Might be really slick

Piazzetta has the P-963 it is very energy efficient runs well and it's a very nice looking stove be aware of Osburn they are just like ECO-65 and you pay more for nothing get your hands on a PDF manual of each stove and would find out. I definitely recommend you a European stove you will find that they are way in advance in this industry compared to the North American ones. They even have silo installation that makes the whole thing much easier to run. But the first one thing; whatever you do first try to find a good dealer and believe me this is the hardest part talk about your dealer you will have a better feedback. Usually whatever he will sale you then should come whit a good service if needed. They are the one that make the difference on a good or bad product good lock

That Absolute 43 is stunning. If I were to win the lottery, I would absolutely be in for trading in the Hastings in for one. Of course if I won the lottery, I would be trading in my crappy house for a newer house, in a better location (like further south) too :)

Interesting read on the Absolute P43. It appears to have a set back thermostat in it. The literature refers to a scheduling option in the menu.

Don't buy a new model. I got sucked into that when the AEs came out. Never again. That was one of the longest winters I have spent. Wait a couple years as the new owners are the ones that actually test the stove.

Harman has the newer Absolute/43.000 BTU.
Has a digital touch pad on the top to control all the functions..
Not sure I would go for something that new till it's been Road tested couple yrs here..
more circuitry to go bad.....

My P61A 61K BTU's has all manual controls[ dials etc] and I paid less.. $3600.00
The Absolute is Over $4,000.00 for a 43K Btu stove which is not very enticing to me.

That's pretty much the ugliest place to mount that don't you think? If yer gonna go whole digital hog why not Bluetooth it to a wall mount? Though I like the look of that stove much more on the legs than the accentra with its flush skirt. Looks like a stove now

The new Harman looks pretty. Am looking forward to Enviro Meridian cast stove, she should be a winner. Someone mentioned the Osburn Volta, we got one in the store using it and observing it. Seems to burn much like like the 5000 and 7000, but much quieter, has the DC motors on it. Also has the backup batteries built in on the back of the unit. It looks squarish, but not like their other cabinet pellet stoves. It needs some tweaking, the air flow doesn't keep the ash cleared on the flame guide, it builds up quickly and looks like a bees honeycomb hanging on. Must say, very effective heater and whisper quiet, gives the MV AE/E2 a run for their money on noise levels. Its quieter than the Enviro M55, which also is noisier than the AE/E2. The Osburn is gonna be pricey too, I've heard 4K mentioned. We'll see. Should be on the market this fall. The Osburn pellet stoves are nothing to write home about and they are expensive too. Their wood stoves now, seem very solid and very reasonably priced.

If I was wealthy enough to afford a $4000+ stove, I wouldnt be needing to burn pellets. I've owned 5 stoves and the combined total I invested in those 5stoves doesnt even reach $4000.....lol.

The total for the three in the house just went to $4100 including the crosslink and venting.

I paid 1800 for a new Bixby that is all digital can be controlled via smart phone or computer and the software is available to change any settings the owner wants. and it was in production up until 2008 so actually this has been around for quite a while This was sold for 3800 new with a 7 year warranty.

I stand corrected....maybe its just reached a plateau here in the US. Looks a bit different abroad.
