I just received an email from woodpellets.com

For those that don't have the means to pick up large quantities of pellets themselves, or prefer not to, woodpellets.com has a free delivery promotion for those that sign up for their flexible pay plan before Friday March 6th. The gist is you put away $25 or more each month into your account, and provided you have made three or more monthly payments at the time of order and buy 3 or more tons, you get free delivery. Not too bad of a deal-

And a shameless plug for me--if you do sign up, send me a PM before you do (we can both save an additional $25 with the refer a friend program)

wish they would deliver to my area .. they deliver somewhat nearby .. but nope .. no pellets for me

Offer extended to Friday, March 20, 2015 in case anyone is interested.

Kinda like a Xmas club only no FDIC insurance and you lose your money if they go under.

Oh come on. Nobody has ever lost money on a .com going into bankruptcy. >>

Not cheap, agreed, but for a decent softwood pellet @ 6.20 / bag on a ton buy for LG Granules, is less than 7.00 / bag sale rate I paid the last 3+ months.. Stove likes them, they burn clean / low maintenance, it's a pricey shoulder pellet, but with Pennington's @ the local WalMart selling for 5.85 / bag, I wasn't too upset with the 1 ton pricing.

(Still new to the game, will be looking & pricing locally for a good softwood pellet over the next few weeks.)

Yes I joined woodpellets.com free delivery deal. I did this last year as well. Yes there pricey pellets but the Clean Pacific softwood and LG softwood are extremely low ash. Before you join up PM me so we both save $25. :p. No shame about this plug. But it is shameful. ;lol

Try A&B Lumber in Concord (if they are somewhat close to you) - I got Vermont Wood Pellets for $6.49/bag a couple of weeks ago (I have never bought there before, just picked up a few bags - they may discount tons for next season). The VWP are the best pellets I ever burned - not that I have ever had good pellets - and, the first pellets I've ever had that I could actually smell the wood; a nice piney scent.

Thanks bogeib, going to stop & pick up some bags to try.. I've been hearing good things about the VWP pellets, looking forward to trying them out.

Heading out to pick up the 2nd half of the 1 ton order of LG Granules this morning.. No delivery available here. Have no clue where I'm gonna store them, wife may be sleeping next to pellets tonight. edit: Wife says husband is sleeping next to pellets out in the wood shed, better make more room out there.
