Hi all,
After 4 months of $250+ a month electric bills heating our home, i took the plunge and bought a new pellet stove. Kinda missed the boat this winter but we'll be all ready for next winter for sure.

I'm fitting it myself and have been reading up on the various makes of piping and have decided i want what appears to be the best, Excel. However, i'm having problems finding any dealers online and ones that do shipping (im on the east coast). Any hep in finding an online site would be appreciated
Thanks

You can try woodstovenj.com

I bought my excel pipe from them in person. Maybe they ship. It's NJ.

They aren't cheap but worth a shot.

I thought DuraVent are the best. Where did I go wrong?

You didn't go wrong. If it meets the standards it's fine. Don't have a lot of experience with chimney and flue pipe but I know quality when I see it. Sometimes you pay a lot more for the little things.

Last I check ( couple of years ago) you have to buy Excel pipe in person from a dealer. They don't like their dealers to sell the product online.

Forgot why. For me, it has been a quality pipe. I couldn't make the twist lock Duravent work for me.

Reactions: pell it
I usually like Duravent,do to it's easy availablity, but at the HPBA Expo I saw the new line that Metal Fab has and it really nice. New gasket sealing at the joints and a very nice seamless pipe. Smooth all the way around.

I believe fireside stove shop in mendon ma is a dealer. Not sure where you are on the east coast but give em a jingle

I got my Excel ICC venting from my local dealer, and it's ridiculously expensive. I've never seen it online. Just went to my dealer to see if I could get a T with a cleanout flap so I can access the horizontal pipe, and it was $175!! The dealer said since I was a good customer, i.e. never called with a problem, he'd sell it to me for $150!
