Help ! I have changed all of the augers, cleaned out the Tee, & flex pipe, by-passed the vacuum switches and thoroughly cleaned out this stove, but it never fails to shut down after 20 mins of running. Oh, and a new Control Board as well, about $500 and it still doesn't run right Help?

I have changed all of the moving parts in this stove. I have cleaned out the "tee" and the flex pipe, it has a brand new control board, BUT as soon as I run it on 1 & 1, it will shut down after 21 mins. My codes are 6-4-1, but this thing seems to overheat if that's possible on 1 & 1. Help ! I love this stove, but lately it has made me very angry and suicidal, I don't like spending $2,700 on a stove and then get nickled and dimed on parts and pieces and so-called tech cleaners who are afraid to get their nails sooted up. I would like to have this stove run for one season with NO breakdowns. Any help or advice?!

Why is it set to 6 if you are over heating? Shouldn't it be set ton1-4-1 from the factory?

Is this a new insert? Is it used? Englander tech support is known for being a helpful resource. Have you spoken to them?

Do you mean Englander 25-IP?

On 1 & 1 if operating to factory settings I would suspect that overheating would not be a problem
I think the factory settings are 1-4-1 but I'm not home right now to be able to double check that.

What pellets are you burning?

Does this behavior occur on all burn settings 1-9? or just 1?

Are you using a thermostat?
if not Is the jumper on the thermostat pins installed correctly?
if so is it rated/configured for running with a pellet stove?

What is your venting setup
a.)Diameter of pipe 3" or "4"?
b.)How far out and then how far up does it go?
c.)Last full Piping Cleaning?
When was the last full cleanout/vacuume out of everything?

Also Englander Tech support is usually pretty responsive have you talked to them?

<edit>
When it dies are there unburned pellets in the firepot?

Sorry, it is an Englander 25-PI, mfg. in '09, fireplace insert. I think it might be a vacuum switch, nice stove for 6 years, when it's on it's game it's wonderful...

Hope this helps. I have the same stove . I had the same problems , called the tech at England Stove . They had me reset the controls to THE THREE BOTTOM BUTTONS to 1-2-1 ,THE HEAT BUTTON IS AT 3 and THE BLOWER BUTTON IS SET AT 5. And they told me to run my stove in MODE 2 . Its been running great since 2009 . The model 25-EPI { EVOLUTION PELLET INSERT} . Good luck.
